Barak Obama: Race Relations

This morning Obama made a speech about race relations in the U.S., which was use [to me] to fire back attacks of his relationship with his controversial pastor, Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s racial comments had expanded on all sorts of news channels, in effect could down play Obama’s efforts in running his presidential race.

Here are some quotes from Pastor Wright:

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye.”

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” (Sep 2001)

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. “In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. “The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.”

However, is it really that crucial? True, I never been to a church/heard a church talk about other races like Wright has. Because, uh, you know, church is about unity not segregation.

At least that was the last time I checked.

Furthermore, there are too many contradictions to suggest that Obama would even consider his pastor’s actions correct. I mean, dude has a white mother and white family members. If, there was any suggestions that he believes that whites put him down or did him dirty in any way would not making any sense in his current position. Also, he’s about change, and many of his speeches concern that everybody should be unified to make a strong/positive goal. Believing that he follows his pastor’s racial sermons would not make any sense at all.

His speech this morning was pretty on point. He made alot of feedback without looking like an ass on T.V. which is a pretty unique and powerful talent.

Did P. Diddy set up Tupac?

It’s been a few years since somebody brought up allegations of Tupac being setup by numerous of hip hop celebs in the past, but Chuck Phillips, staff write of the L.A. Times, believes to think that P. Diddy could be the one that setup Tupac at the Quad Recording Studios in New York.

According to Chuck:

“Now, newly discovered information, including interviews with people who were at the studio that night, lends credence to Shakur’s insistence that associates of rap impresario Sean “P. Diddy” Combs were behind the assault. Their alleged motives: to punish Shakur for disrespecting them and rejecting their business overtures and, not incidentally, to curry favor with Combs.”

The read is pretty massive, but it’s intriguing as well. Do I believe that Diddy has something to do with this?

Naw. I don’t believe he did.

Hulk Hogan: Pimpin’ ain’t easy

Especially, if you got caught sleeping with your daughter’s best friend. I’m not fully aware how old or new this news is, but I read up on it later today and read that Hulk Hogan effin’ 33-year-old Christiane Plante, Brooke Hogan’s best friend, behinind his wife back!

Apparently, Plante thought she could cash in by snitching to the National Enquirer and telling them that she had a secret relationship with the famous WWF (Fuck WWE) wrestler, Hulk Hogan, right before his apparent marriage with his wife was going to end. Brooke caught wind of it and lashed out on Plante but her post was taken down.

Hulk Hogan from his VH1 show, seemed like a full fledge father figure. For him to pull a “Spitzer” move on his wife is kinda crazy. I don’t know how many rich men with high status tend to be the most disloyal and hypocritical type of people, I’m no sociologist. But, it’s either (a They are just too tired of their wives that they got to try something new (b Or, maybe doing the “right” thing is just too boring.

Either case, it seems like a domino effect.

Papoose – “A Fair One” (Fat Joe Diss)

If yall haven’t been paying attention between the Fat Joe and Pap beef, it all started [from what I heard] when Pap was sitting by 50 on a radio show as 50 diss Fat Joe live. According, to Fat Joe, he was mad because Pap didn’t say anything about it.

Then Fat Joe started more of his “bitchassness”, as P. Diddy would put it, when he went to a hotel where Pap was staying and had a confrontation with him. I’m not sure how accurate any of the sources I read so far, but from what I read, Pap punched Fat Joe twice in the jaw.

I’m not sure how in the hell Pap manage to do that since Fat Joe was rolling with 5 people deep. But, I haven’t read anywhere that it said he was hurt or even scratched!?

As a result, Pap drops a pretty solid diss. Not the best, but it’s pretty strong nonetheless. Shit… it ain’t as entertaining as “Elephant In The Sand” mixtape.

Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” Video

I’m not sure what to really say about this video. I mean, it is placed in Las Vegas, that’s always a plus. But, the song itself isn’t really that good, but the beat however is pretty damn legit. The video, however, has Static Major (R.I.P) in there, so that’s pretty much the only thing you can look forward to. I don’t know about yall, but ever since Wayne started using that T-Pain voice box thing, he’s starting to sound more annoying than he usually be.

This song will be hitting the radio stations pretty soon if it hasn’t already. Be prepare to hear it every hour of the hour, not because it’s good, just because it’s Lil Wayne, cot dammit!

Eliot Spitzer’s 4,300 dollars pussy

Yesterday, as I recall, the news has some how manage to find the call girl that Spitzer was pounding the living daylight savings time out of. Her name is “Kristen” and from what I can understand her “services” are worth about 4,300 dollars an HOUR!? Which is kinda crazy because (a That sounds kinda low. I was kinda expecting it to be a little more expensive than that if you was a Gov’ nuh of NY (b The girl doesn’t look like she is worth that much anyways. I mean, she ain’t ugly, but dropping 4,300 dollars on her sounds just plain stupid to me.

Which makes you ask this question: “If she doesn’t look like she’s worth 4,300 an hour, then that means she must be able to do some kind of Twilight Zone type sex positions to even consider to drop that sum of money on her anyway.”

The investigators found “Kristen”’s myspace and I don’t think you can actually go to it per se’, but here’s a link to a picture form of her myspace and a few pictures of her too.
